hi hello again! i hope you are having a restful holiday weekend. do something nice for yourself, catch a vibe, sit in the sun. more newsletters coming soon! 😘
SOUR by olivia rodrigo || from brutal to hope ur ok, olivia strikes the chords of raw emotion that are quintessentially teen angst and balances it out with tender vulnerability. SOUR bridges genres, branching out from pop into punk, indie, alt sounds thanks to the influence of her teenage singer-songwriter forebears: taylor swift, lorde, and hayley williams. this is a perfect album, no skips.
spotify throwback thursday: dad rock || i am almost certain that my father does not know WHAT spotify is, let alone how to use it, but if he did - this is the playlist he would make. if the full 6 minutes of higher love don’t give you a burst of pure dopamine, i simply don’t know how to help you.
(ed. note: this is a spotify playlist that they update weekly; here is a link to a copy of the playlist.)
ina’s dance party || ina garten is a national treasure, and SHE KNOWS IT. that is the level of self-assuredness i’m looking for in life. (also see: martha. stewart.) anyway, my good friend @bhamsami alerted me to this playlist and i instantly added it to my library. will be swapping back and forth between this & dad rock all weekend.
don’t forget the spf!
